The Expert:

Mariana Uribe is the assistant manager of Latrice, a high-end women’s boutique in Bryn Mawr, PA. Latrice has a highly curated collection that will update your wardrobe but won’t go out of style in a few years. You will see designers and pieces that you can’t find anywhere else at Latrice. I enlisted Mariana’s because she has a front row seat and a hand in creating a boutique that is oozing with style. She also happens to be one of my best and most fashionable friends!

Mare’s Picks:

Ultimate in Versatility and Great for TravelSosken- GRAY Double-Breasted Plaid Coat

Per Mariana: It’s such a lightweight wool coat that is an amazing travel piece. Color-wise, it combines with so many things and it’s the perfect length; it doesn’t feel too heavy or fussy. It’s an easy coat that is so elegant but can be worn with jeans and sneaks too.

Practical, Affordable, and On-Trend- Free People- Weekender Puffer

Per Mariana: I love this jacket from Free People because it’s an amazing value for a practical piece that is a really great cut. I am more partial to the spice color. It’s a great introduction of color in a wardrobe that, for most people, is very dark in the winter months.

ShowstopperDorothee Schumacher- Touch of Colour Coat Sleeve 1/1

Per Mariana: This is from fall 2018 and it was an unbelievable piece. It is a great novelty addition as an outerwear option. Another lightweight duster, you could still wear a heavier sweater or layer it on top of a blazer and still be comfortable. The light fabric and cut allow for this coat to have some beautiful movement when it’s on.

Worth-It Investment Piece G-Lab- Sakura

Per Mariana: This is probably the most practical of everything. Although a hefty price point, the G lab coats are impeccably made. They are completely waterproof. Most raincoats are water resistant but each coat is individually coated. They are also very breathable. I love this pod shape that is so flatter.
